In a recent interview with Zap2It, Bella Thorne, star of Disney’s Shake It Up was asked to decide between Team Jacob and Team Edward.
Team Edward or Team Jacob?: “Taylor Lautner played my brother on ‘My Own Worst Enemy,’ so I kind of can’t like him because that would be weird. So, I would have to say both. Why can’t they just stop fighting? Just be friends. By the way, Taylor Lautner is so funny. He’s such a great actor and he’s so nice, and he’s really ticklish, too!”

Architectural Digest recently completed a photo shoot and article on the “Isle Esme” home used for in the filming of Breaking Dawn. Here is an excerpt from the article and the photos.
“Thiago Bernardes of Rio de Janeiro designed a rustic beach house for the Fernandes family on the Brazilian fjord of Saco do Mamanguá. The area is so remote that the family can only reach its house by boat or helicopter”.
“A view into the double-height living room from the veranda. Pivoting doors allow sea breezes to pass through the house”.
“Wood steps lead up from the garden onto the broad veranda, which integrates the house and the surrounding landscape”.
“The walls and ceiling of the master bedroom are covered in woven-straw panels, the work of artisans in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais”.
Halfway between São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, off the BR-101 highway, lies a corner of Brazil bounded by forested mountains that edge their way down to the sea. The Saco do Mamanguá, a tropical fjord, cuts between the mainland and the peninsula of Juatinga, where ridges approaching 1,600 feet frame a narrow bay; this pristine spot is where businessman Ícaro Fernandes, his wife, Cristina, and their five children, ranging in age from three to 24, come to trade life in the urban jungle of São Paulo for waterskiing and dolphin-watching. On weekends, the clan braves São Paulo’s notorious traffic to make the nearly three-hour drive to the colonial town of Paraty, where they hop onto a speedboat for the short ride to their beachfront home
Fernandes and his family got to know Saco do Mamanguá in 2001, when they visited friends who owned a house in the area, and they eventually decided to buy a 99-acre property on one of the inlet’s loveliest beaches. Fernandes, a real-estate developer who also owns a food-import business, had long admired the work of Brazilian architects Bernardes + Jacobsen, lauded for their imaginative tropical-modern houses. So he called on the firm—now headed by Thiago Bernardes, son of the late Claudio Bernardes and grandson of Sergio Bernardes (1919–2002), and Paulo Jacobsen, partner to all three generations—to design his family’s retreat. “My father and Paulo were constantly researching how to build with natural materials and with an economy of resources—for example, trying to understand how fishermen built their simple wood shelters and how to integrate good natural ventilation into a house,” explains Thiago Bernardes. “That’s the vision Ícaro asked us to incorporate into his home.”

After practically years of suspense over who would play vampire-human child Renesmee in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn,” it was author Stephenie Meyer who finally got to break the news on Wednesday night.
“Very excited about our new Renesmee, Mackenzie Foy,” she wrote on the “Twilight” Facebook page. “She’s an amazing young actress and I’m excited to work with her. I hope everyone had an enjoyable summer!”
Rumors that newcomer Foy would be cast in the role had been circulating for the past week. The 9-year-old actress has a limited résumé, with just a few TV appearances to her credit so far on the shows ” ‘Til Death” and “FlashForward.” She has also appeared on the cover of the Garnet Hill clothing catalog and in Gap ads and Burger King commercials. She will take on the role of Edward and Bella’s daughter, one of the meatier parts in the second half of the “Breaking Dawn” saga.
Fans will, of course, have a while to wait before they get their first glimpse of Foy, since the first chapter of “Breaking Dawn” hits screens on November 18, 2011, and the second half will roll out on November 16, 2012. It’s not known exactly where the book will be split into two, but since Renesmee is born about halfway through the story, she’s not likely to appear in the first movie.
When Foy was first mentioned for the role, Entertainment Weeklyimmediately wondered how the angelic-faced newbie will be able to portray her rapidly aging character. According to unnamed sources, “Dawn” director Bill Condon “will employ similar digital effects to those used by David Fincher in ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,’ where Foy’s face would be digitally transferred onto the face of a younger child. It’s also probable that the studio will hire a younger child in some capacity too.”
The response from Twihards on Facebook was overwhelmingly positive. “Thanks for dropping in Stephenie,” Ronnie M. wrote. “So excited that MacKenzie was cast; she seems like she’ll do a great job. You all thought it would be hard to cast the ‘Perfect’ Edward and I’m sure you thought the same for Renesmee, but once again you guys have outdone yourselves. Can’t wait for ‘Breaking Dawn’!”
